What MRO Europe covers and who attends

The About page calls MRO Europe "the leading event in the region for the commercial aviation aftermarket". It combines "a senior level conference and international exhibition". The home page describes exhibitors as "representing all levels of the airline supply chain".

The Why Attend page says MRO Europe draws "decision makers from across the airline supply chain". It lists airline operators, aircraft and engine lessors, MRO providers, aircraft and engine original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers.

Airline and lessor staff in qualifying roles can attend on a complimentary Airline VIP Pass. It covers all conference sessions and full access to the exhibition hall. Airline employees need a management-level role or above in engineering, maintenance, technical operations, quality, procurement or supply chain. Lessor employees need a technical procurement role at an engine or aircraft leasing company, also at management level. Marketing, sales, business development and outside consultant roles do not qualify.

Space only stand rules at MRO Europe

The organiser calls space only stands "raw space". The 2026 Exhibitor Manual says raw space booths "include only the space on the show floor". The exhibitor "is responsible for the design, construction and furnishing of the stand". Space only stands "do not receive carpet, walls, or electrics".

The manual expects "a professionally built custom stand with a high level of finish and safety compliance". On 28 October 2026, the official site linked to the 2026 manual, written for RAI Amsterdam. These are the 2026 rules for the two raw space layouts.

2026 ruleIsland standInline raw space stand
Open sidesAisles on all four sidesOne side, or two or three sides on a corner
Maximum height4 metres, or 6 metres with the organiser's approval, including ground-supported signageBack wall 2.5 metres, or up to 4 metres with the organiser's permission
Hanging signsPermitted, suspended above 6 metres only, with rigging by the venueNot permitted
WallsSolid perimeter walls permitted, fully dressed on both sidesFull-length side wall at least 2.5 metres high; back wall "finished" and painted

Raw space booths are a minimum of 18 square metres. Every raw space exhibitor, "regardless of size", must submit plans to the organiser for approval. Doors on outer walls must open inwards. Meeting rooms, storage rooms and other enclosed spaces with doors must include a vision panel.

Carpet or another professional floor covering is required on every stand. Stand lighting must point into the stand and should not be projected onto other exhibits or aisles. Construction and decorating materials should be fire-retardant and certified as flame retardant.

Double-deck stands and plan submissions at MRO Europe

The 2026 manual lists the builds it treats as complex structures:

  • any structure over 4 metres high
  • stages or platforms over 0.50 metres high
  • double-deck stands
  • stairs and temporary tiered seating
  • suspended items, such as lighting rigs

A structural engineer appointed by the organiser must approve every stand over 4 metres or deemed complex. A double-deck stand's upper floor may not exceed "50% of the total allocated area". It must also sit "so as not to impair the visibility of the surrounding stands". Double-deck exhibitors must also show they can complete installation and removal "within the available time".

Suspended elements built from timber or metal count as complex structures. Fabric banners, foamex signs, screens, lighting trusses, audio-visual (AV) equipment and lighting bars need no structural sign-off. "At RAI Amsterdam, primary attachments are provided exclusively by the rigging team," says the manual. No fixing into the hall floor is allowed.

A 2026 raw space plan submission includes:

  • detailed, scaled structural drawings, with plans, sections and every elevation, including hanging signs
  • structural calculations and floor or roof loading
  • a risk assessment and a method statement
  • for complex structures, written confirmation from an independent structural engineer that the design is safe

Aviation Week's report on MRO Europe 2025 describes a "distinctive double-deck stand" that "greeted entrants" at ExCeL London. It also describes refreshment on stands "from chic bar areas to tricked-out camper vans".

Better Stands at MRO Europe

Better Stands asks "all exhibitors and their appointed contractors" to move away from "disposable, single use stands". It favours "reusable or recyclable structures", says the MRO Europe Better Stands page. In its 2026 brochure, Aviation Week Network commits to "all raw space stands at BRONZE level as a minimum for 2026 and beyond".

The programme has three levels. The 2026 Better Stands brochure sets out what each level covers:

Better Stands levelElements covered, from the 2026 brochure
BronzeReusable stand structure and walling; reusable flooring and raised platforms, excluding surface covering such as carpet; reusable furnishing and AV equipment; reusable lights
SilverAll Bronze criteria, plus reusable or recyclable fascia, logo signage and hanging banners; reusable overhead rigging, ceiling materials and product display units
GoldAll Bronze and Silver criteria, plus reusable or recyclable stand graphics, decorative items and floor covering

The Better Stands exhibitor guide states: "If a stand does not meet all the elements in the Bronze level then it is classed as disposable." The MRO Europe 2025 Sustainability FAQ explains that Better Stands targets "raw space only builds, which historically create the most waste". It gives frame and fabric, wood stock panels, aluminium modular and cardboard flat pack as reusable examples.

For MRO Europe 2025, the FAQ said the onsite Operations Team and Floor Managers would assess a sample of stands. Exhibitors and service providers can also have a stand or build system assessed in advance. The Better Stands page says pre-assessment is "currently only available for MRO Europe".

MRO Europe conference and Go Live! Theater

MRO Europe offers two types of content, says the official conference page. The first is "a paid senior level conference". The second is the "free to attend Go Live! Theater on the show floor". Hosted sessions and product briefings are also "open to all attendees, free of charge".

The conference is "a chance to hear from industry experts and join a C-level audience". Its sessions are "a mix of presentations and panel discussions". Three 2026 badge types include the paid conference, says the official FAQ: the Airline VIP Pass, Conference Pass and Exhibitor All Access Pass. Other 2026 badge types cover the exhibition and the Go Live! Theater. The agenda page states that audio and video recording of sessions is "strictly prohibited".

MRO Europe 2025 featured 64 speakers, according to its post-show report. Aviation Week's 2025 conference round-up named three major talking points:

  • "adapting to structural shifts in the supply chain"
  • "attracting and motivating a younger workforce following an exodus of experienced staff"
  • "the ability of technology to alleviate some of the industry's pain points"

The Go Live! Theater offers "case studies, live podcasts, interactive Q&A" and networking. Past themes include sustainability, digitalisation, diversity and inclusion, and next-generation career development. In 2025, it ran "two days of quick-fire presentations", according to the organiser's round-up.

Networking, meet-ups and the MRO Europe app

The MRO Europe 2026 programme lists three meet-ups, each "Open to all registered attendees of MRO Europe":

MRO Europe 2026 meet-upFocus, in the organiser's wordsWhere
Wing Woman Meet-Up"Designed for women in the MRO market space"Next to the Go Live! Theater
Rising Stars Meet-Up"professionals under 35 with less than three years of experience"Go Live! Theater
Business Aviation Meet-Up"business aviation professionals"Next to the Go Live! Theater

The MRO Europe app runs on desktop and on mobile devices. It is "open for networking pre-event, during the event and post event", says the app page. Users can browse attendees, agendas, exhibitors and products, send live chat messages and book meetings ahead of time. The app also offers an "Interactive floorplan to plan your route onsite" and exhibitor badge scanning.

Exhibitors can list products in the app. "A standard exhibitor can upload 2 products, an enhanced exhibitor can upload 10 products," the 2026 app page says. The attendee list appears only in the app for registered attendees, and it cannot be downloaded or exported.
